Brightform Interactive is a small, Massachusetts-based web design & development company, founded and staffed solely by James Dahlfred. I design and build uncomplicated, attractive interfaces with efficiency and accessibility in mind. I work hard to ensure that it's easy for you to maintain your own content, because although I provide support, nobody wants to visit the cobbler every time they need to tie their shoes.

All server-side coding is done in PHP 4 or 5, usually using nothing more than TextWrangler. Graphics work is executed with help from the usual suspects: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Sites are tested in the major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Opera) on both Windows and Mac OS to ensure compatibility and accessibility.
The word Brightform in the logo is Brush Script, and everything else (the word Interactve, navigation, headers, etc.) is Priori Sans.
I'd be condemned to reinvent the wheel every day if it weren't for the excellent MooTools javascript library. Other than that, I have chosen to reinvent the wheel by eschewing pre-made site management solutions in favor of building my own modular framework. It's a lot like building your own furniture or sewing your own clothes. But I also never have to wrestle with somebody else's code, nor worry about processing overhead from supporting features I don't need. I keep it lean.
As for hosting, I can't recommend Dreamhost enough. They only have one, reasonably priced plan, and their servers brightly configured, but most of all and their staff is friendly, transparent and tireless.
